Have Some Fun!

Last updated 02/25/2010

The BAYSIDE TRAVELLERS COUNTRY DANCE SOCIETY promotes traditional music and dance. Our goals are education, increased community awareness and participation in traditional and folk music and dance.  All ages, skills, and interest levels are welcome to participate.

We participate in SCRIP, a program where non-profits can earn money and in our case, stay active! Right now, Pat Hoekje has prepurchased gift cards that she is willing to sell these
to allow folks to try it out. A percentage of each gift card is given back through that business to a non-profit. That is how it works. Your gift card will not lose value.
You may also see what items are available through ordering if you don't find something listed here you are interested in using. www.shopwithscrip.com is the webpage
Pat will have them at the dance

Contra and Square dances are held on the second Saturday of the month, October through June.  Bands provide live music. All dances are taught, and no partner is necessary. Clean shoes are requested and a smooth bottom to the shoe is helpful for ease of movement. With our newdance floor installed it is important that we have clean shoes to change into once you have arrived at the hall. All dances start with a workshop from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m.   Dances start at 8:00 p.m.
Note there will be Jamborees scheduled this year prior to the most of the dances. These are for anyone interested in sharing a tune or two. See the schedule below.
